Curriculum

MGM School's Pre-Primary curriculum is designed to foster children's learning and development by utilizing a variety of innovative and engaging activities. Our approach aims to not only provide teachers with effective teaching tools, but also to help parents understand what their children are learning in the classroom

Our curriculum is centered around the implementation of creative and imaginative activities both inside and outside the classroom. Children are enthusiastic about the curriculum, as it is filled with exciting opportunities for them to explore, learn, and grow. We have meticulously designed a comprehensive pre-school program that comprises various project-based activities to foster integration and learning

At MGM School, we firmly believe that children learn best when they are actively engaged in the learning process. Our curriculum is designed to stimulate curiosity, creativity, and critical thinking, as well as to enhance social, emotional, and cognitive skills. We are committed to providing children with a solid foundation for lifelong learning and success

Effective and innovative teaching methodologies are crucial to capturing students' attention and making classroom experiences more engaging. At our school, we aim to reinvent our teaching methods and make our classes interesting for students by implementing creative strategies.

  • One of the ways we achieve this is through creative teaching, which involves the use of playful games and visual exercises to stimulate students' creativity and capture their interest. This approach encourages them to come up with their ideas and explore new concepts
  • Incorporating e-learning is another strategy we use, utilizing tools such as PowerPoint presentations, movies, pictorial materials, and audio-visual aids to help students understand concepts better and encourage their imagination to thrive and grow
  • Brainstorming sessions are also a great way to get students' creative juices flowing, allowing for multiple brains to focus on a single idea and generate numerous ideas involving everyone in the discussion.
  • Real-world learning is infused into our curriculum, linking lessons to real-life situations to make the material easy to understand and learn, spark students' interests, and make the sessions more exciting.
  • Taking lessons outside the classroom into the lap of nature is another way we make learning fresh and exciting for students.
  • Teaching through role-play, story dramatization, dance, music, and rhymes is a great way to make children step out of their comfort zones and develop their interpersonal skills.
  • Our curriculum is creatively structured to nourish the whole being - the mind, heart, and body. All activities are balanced with subjects to provide the best learning experience for students.
  • Assessment of learning involves working with a range of available evidence throughout the process of activities to check the child's performance, track their progress, identify learning gaps, strengths, and weaknesses, and provide various remedial strategies to help them overcome their weaknesses.

The Scholastic Assessment for classes I to VIII comprises of two terms, Term-1 and Term-2. It includes the First Periodic Assessment in July, Half Yearly (Term-1) in September, Second Periodic Assessment in November, and Annual Exam (Term-2) in March. The Half Yearly and Annual exams are of 2.5 hours duration. In exceptional circumstances like medical leave, death of an immediate family member or representing the school in a competition, a re-test may be conducted.

The Co-Scholastic Assessment evaluates students term-wise on a three-point grading scale (A=Outstanding, B=Very Good, and C=Fair). The assessment criteria include regularity, sincere participation, output, and teamwork in co-scholastic activities like Work Education, Art Education (Visual & Performing Art), and Health and Physical Education (Sports/Martial Arts/Yoga, etc.).
